Governments are pushing the textile industry toward circularity with evolving regulations, demanding bold actions from brands and manufacturers. In response, Bangladesh’s waste management professionals are leading the way, turning recycling innovations into real-world impact through the #BESTSELLER Switch to Upstream Circularity Pilot under the SWITCH2CE project.
RR collaborated with the SWITCH Project partners to develop this information sheet (available in English and Bengali) to help waste handlers navigate this critical shift. Combining partners’ industry experience and insights, the document (link in comments) highlights:
Key advancements in textile waste recycling
Insights into risks and opportunities for waste handlers and collectors about brands’ circularity and due diligence expectations.
The impact of evolving EU policies on waste management in Bangladesh
RR has now been working in Bangladesh for 10 years, digitising and improving textile waste management to enable scaling up textile-to-textile recycling at scale. We are proud to collaborate with UNIDO, Bestseller, BGMEA, and Global Fashion Agenda to foster circularity and support the emerging recycling industry to bloom in Bangladesh. RR software platform continues to be the backbone for the collaboration and business case to trigger this change in the market.
